Lift gallery space
Lift etage, which is going to be reopened this August 20th, is officially introducing you to a new gallery space that is going to be established within our store. We hope to visualize art and philosophy, and seek the relationship with fashion and other perspectives throughout the space.
For this first project, we would like to create a piece titled "HAND PORTRAIT". The details are as following; we would like a hand photo (black and white) of all creators, designers and their teams that supports us. A collage is going to be made by aligning each of the photos we receive, and it is planned to cover a whole wall in one of the rooms. Before entering this specific room, a 2m wooden hand is going to be displayed. This creates a route in which people would first be greeted by the wooden hand, enter the room surrounded by the collage, and finally into the main space of the shop.
この度８月に新装開店するリフト・エタージュ店内にギャラリー空間を開設する運びとなりました。芸術や思想をビジュアライズさせ、その空間を通じてファッションとの関係、或は全く別の価値観をその"視点"を通じて、紹介して行けたらと考えております。
まず最初に" HAND PORTRAIT"と題した空間を造りたいと考えております。そこにはリフトをサポートして頂いているデザイナー又そのチーム、そしてクリエーターの手の写真（白黒）を規則正しく配列したコラージュを製作します。それを一部屋の壁全面を使用し展示します。又、その部屋に入る前には大きなギャラリースペースを設け、そこには約２m程の木製の大きな手が壁に設置される予定です。つまり、人々は最初に手の彫刻の前を通り、そして手の写真のコラージュの部屋をと通り抜け、店のメインスペースに入場する訳です。
