Parker&Kent

Born in Ethiopia in 1971, and moves to Columbia to live there until the age of 12. Later on, he moves to Paris, followed with the time of study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in Belgium. After training with John Galliano and Wim Neels, he sets up his own brand. He debuts at the 2002 – 2003 A/W collection. For the 2003 S/S season, he works as the creative director for Ruffo Research. Masculine taste you can see in the concaved shoulder tailored jacket. Beautiful and elegant feminine feel in a draped dress. The two extremes combine together to create a unique yet elegant style. Favours to use colours such as gray, in order to “get the personality out, colours that stands out are not chosen.” He is searching for the clothes making that looks at the inner beauty of human.

1971年エチオピアで生まれ、12歳までコロンビアで暮らす。その後パリへ渡り、ベルギーのアントワープロイヤルアカデミーアーツで学ぶ。「ジョン　ガリアーノ」や「ウィム　ニールズ」のスタジオで研修後、独立する。02-03A/Wコレクションデビュー。03S/Sシーズンは、「ルッフォ　リサーチ」のクリエイティブディレクターを務める。コンケープドショルダーのテーラードジャケットに見られるマスキュリンな提案。サテンやシルクシフォンを用いたドレープのドレスは、美しく女性的な表現。相反する感覚を絶妙に融合し、独自のエレガンスなスタイルを生み出す。グレーなどの中間色を好み、「パーソナリティを引き出すのに、主張しすぎる色は選択しない」と語る。正に、人々が持つ内面に潜む個性、美しさを引き出すような服作りを探求する。
