GUIDI is a traditional project by designer Ruggerero Guidi, who is based in Florence, Italy. Tanning is the trust worthiest method, believed by the most important designers around the world and is also the base of this brand’s base work. From his unique perspective and research, as well as his expérience as a tanner, he starts off the whole procès by the finishing touches on the materials first, which is completely different from the normal approach. He is the designer, with the spirit of a true workman. フィレンツェを拠点として物作りをしているRuggero Guidiによる伝統的プロジェクトであるGUIDI。世界中で最も重要なデザイナー達が信頼を寄せる手法によるタンニングをベースワークとした長い歴史を持つブランドである。独自の視点とリサーチ、そしてタンナーとしての経験を活かし、素材のフィニッシングのプロセスから物造りをするといった、他のデザイナーとは全く異なるアプローチを試みる。まさに職人的デザイナーと言えよう。
